Grupa Fair Trade (Krakow)

We are a group of young activists from Krakow, Poland. Instead of presenting passive position in our everyday life we choose to act visibly on issues from the scope of both overconsumption and poverty to de.
The consequences of our choices as consumers can influence people in the developing countries. Fairtrade ensures that producers in poor countries get a fair deal. The project aims to promote Fairtrade.
The planned activities involve: (i) workshops; (ii) Fairtrade festival (film and photo exhibitions, discussions, ethnic concerts, workshops); (iii) Fairtrade manual; and they are targeted to students, youth and kids.
Acitivity (i) and (ii) will be implemented on local level. They raise the awareness among young people and provide platform for knowledge sharing. Activity (iii) will evaluate our project. We will create a manual in which we will share our knowledge on Fairtrade around the world and in Poland. We will particularly share our experiences on implementation of a local Fairtrade awareness raising campaign in order to encourage young people to take similar initiatives.
Above all we want to demonstrate that as young Europeans we take a responsibility for the shape of the world we live in and the future generations.
