GREEN SCHOOL

We are founders of the pro-ecolo- gical school in Poland called the "Green School". Our aims include:

• providing an environment for the development of open-minded, creative and sensible persons,
• school without stress,
• self-realization i.e. teaching how to develop one's own individuality and choose life way independently.

The school will:

• be "green" i.e. ecologically-directed and founded on principles of broad education and teaching "naturally",
• based on team-work rather than competitive principles,
• use Korczak's and "school of survival" methods,
• teach according to the following guidelines: "problemizing" (not presenting definitions and standards to learn but rather interesting problems to resolve), holistic ideas/concepts (not limited to facts but focusing particular attention on the correlation of occurrences); development of individuality (original ways of thinking).

Approach:

• the school will be based on the same concepts governing Polish secondary schools (for children 15 years of age),
• localization: best of all in clean non-polluted region (for instance in the Bieszczady Mountains - South East Poland),
• cooperation with universities (lectures conducted at the "Green School", seminars for university students),
